CHILDREN OF THE EARTH

Out of the blue and into the black…

Just got back from an amazing trip in Hawaii. Was shooting a fashion film and some stills for a line by Night Cap. The model we used was Alex Spencer. Check out her blog 4th and Bleeker. She was amazing to work with and hilarious to say the least…Looking forward to working with her again. Atraiyu!

Here’s a few pics…

You’re not dead yet

I threw a stick. “I’m too young to be a father. I’m too young to be anything. I’m seventeen. I haven’t even left home yet. It seems unreal. You won’t tell anyone, right?”
“Sealed lips.” She whipped a twig from her dress. “It’ll be like having part of Karen back. I miss her. We never talk about these things. But I miss her. Do you?”
“Yeah.”
“But we don’t ever say it out loud, do we?”
“I guess not,” was all I could reply. “I don’t like the silence, either.”

I didn’t realize then that so much of being an adult is reconciling ourselves with the awkwardness and strangeness of our own feelings. Youth is the time of life lived for some imaginary audience.

The islands

You get up at 4am and drive about 2 hours north to get to the boat. Its run by captain Vitale who’s a russian lobster fisherman and our friend. Its cold and quiet out and when the sun comes up and you’re next to the islands its the best place in the world.

“When the fun stops”

Posted in Uncategorized by childrenoftheearth on June 1, 2011

Kicked this year off with a trip to Brazil. I was only suppose to go for about two weeks but was having too much fun to leave. Ended up staying a month and then headed to Israel to visit my sister and Fam. Here’s some pictures

We needed to get out of the city for a few days so we all jumped in Jesse’s car and drove towards Bath. It was nice being on the road again. We met this couple below walking in a field across from Stonehenge. They said they’ve walked there everyday since they were kids.
